The Town Council of the Town of Exeter has voted and approved the creation of The Boone Lake Dam Management District. The district was formed pursuant to the authority granted under enabling legislation that had been promoted by the State of Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management.

On December 11, 2007 the Town Council appointed Gary Casaly as the Assessor/Collector, Cindy Saunders-Earnshaw as the Clerk and D. Joseph Fulford as the Treasurer as the initial members of the Board of Directors pursuant to the provisions of the adopted ordinance. Under the provision of the ordinance, the Dam Management District is required to have its first public meeting within 18 months of the appointment of the initial three-member board.

The Board of Directors of the dam management district is presently assembling the necessary data and creating budgets to carry out the provisions of the ordinance, and this material and other pertinent information will be presented to all property owners on Boone Lake at the first public meeting. You will be formally notified of the date and location of the meeting.
